The Castle Cafe

Our cafe serves a range of delicious hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.

You don't need a ticket to visit the Castle Cafe or shop. With spectacular views of the Castle Keep's east wall, our brand-new cafe is a unique place to meet and eat in the heart of the city.

Much of our menu is freshly made on-site using the best locally sourced ingredients. Choose from a range of options including scones and pastries, jacket potatoes, filled baguettes and sandwiches - not forgetting our famous Castle Quiche!

A range of hot and cold drinks, fine wines, local beers, and locally made ice-creams are also available.

We offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you have any other dietary requirements or allergies, please speak to a member of our team.

Location and opening times

The Castle Cafe is located on the first floor of the Atrium and is open:

Monday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm

At busy times an additional coffee shop in the Rotunda offers a range of drinks, snacks and cakes.

The Castle Restaurant is part of the £18m Norwich Castle: Royal Palace Reborn redevelopment. The project is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to lottery players.
